Therapy and Supervision

I am a BACP and UKCP registered psychotherapist and supervisor who practice in Guildford and Covent Garden, short- or long term with individuals and couples. I also advice on referrals throughout Surrey and in London as part of Surrey Counselling and Psychotherapy Initiative, SCPI , and a Swedish network for therapists.

Roehampton University with a MSc in “Counselling and Psychotherapy as Means to Health”

University of Lund with a PhD in Education, specialising in family relationships and attachment-patterns

National Centre for Eating Disorders with Diploma for Eating disorder practice

Farnborough college with Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling Supervision

I have worked at
Farnham Road Hospital with long term psychoanalytic psychotherapy
Relate short and long term with couples, and
in GP surgery and at the Royal Surrey County Hospital with issues relating to bereavement, illness, depression and abuse.

If you have questions or would like to discuss therapy, please call or email for an appointment. Alternative referral options via SCPI may be discussed. Please allow an hour for a first consultation, whilst ongoing sessions last 50 minutes.

Fee
The normal fee per session is £5o. Concessions are made in certain cases.

Supervision and professional development
I offer clinical and academic supervision for students, trainees and qualified therapists.

I work as an academic supervisor for psychotherapists on their doctorate training, DPsych, at the Metanoia DPsych .I am the editor and author of books like
"Reflective Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy" by LearningMatters
"Why Therapists choose to be Therapists -practise based inquiry" by Karnac
"Gränslös Kärlek" a novel, in Swedish, about childhood trauma and attachment issues.

I provide

workshops and seminars for therapists, in the area of self care and reflective practice

courses in creative and academic writing

The hourly rate for supervision is £50. An option of 1 ½ hours long monthly session is also offered, for £70.


PLEASE NOTE that once sessions have been agreed, cancellations charges will be made in case of less than 24 hours notice.

The Guildford based sessions are held within easy reach of train station and main roads from London and the rest of Surrey.
